Good morning, friends! Happy Tuesday! It is the SECOND to LAST day of school! For most of you, this is your last full day here in room 153. Time really flies when you are having fun! Today is going to be a nice day outside, so we are going to head up to the outdoor classroom field before we have Spanish (for the last time) today and read some stories and do some bubbles! For our question of the day today, we want to know what you are going to do this summer. Are you… going to the beach? Going to the pool? Playing outside? I will go first… I am going to the beach and to a national park to go hiking with my family! I am so excited. Cian, you can be next. What are you going to do this summer?

Cian: I don’t know. I am not doing anything tonight. T: Well, over the summer. Are you going to go swimming? Cian: Yeah.

John Henry: I am going to a water slide. T: That’s awesome! I love going down water slides in tubes.

Quinn: I am going to go outside and play in my playhouse.

Eiden: My dad is going to take me to Denver. And he is going to cook fish. T: Are you going to go fishing in Denver? Eiden: Yeah.

Meena: Um, I’m going to swim lessons.

Lenny: Go fishing! T: Do you like to fish? Lenny: Yeah!

Ollie: I’m going to the beach. I am going to put on sunscreen.

Naomi: My mom and dad didn’t tell me. T: Well, I am sure you are going to do lots of fun things! Probably go swimming, play outside and eat some ice cream! Naomi: Yeah!

Daphne: I have TONS of plans. I am going to stay with a babysitter. Daddy is not going to be at our house I don’t think. T: What are you going to do with your babysitter? Daphne: We are going to go to her house. And she said she likes to grow peas. T: Are you going to help her grow peas? Daphne: Yes.

Caroline: Um, I am going to Lyra’s birthday party. T: Fun! A lot of you are probably going to Lyra’s party… I also know you are probably going to summer camp. Who else is planning on going to summer camp?

Students: Me!!!

Ashton: Me go to summer camp.

Henry: I am going to the Brecksville pool. I am going to go down the big yellow slide.

Alex: I am going to the beach. T: Are you going to make sandcastles? Alex: Yeah. I am going to dig holes.

Tre: I am going to swim lessons.

Calvin: I am playing with my puppy. And going to the pool.

T: Lydia, you are going to summer camp, aren’t you? Lydia: Yeah. And I’m going to a pool! With JP. T: Who is JP? Lydia: JP is my mom’s dad.

T: It sounds like you are all going to have a fantastic summer! I can’t wait for you to tell me all about it when I see you in the halls next year. You will be Preschool 2 students!

We sang our weather song.

Our new weather helper is Eiden and he saw clouds. The sun should be coming out a little bit later! Eiden put cloudy on our calendar.

We sang our days of the week song.

Lenny came up and put Tuesday on our calendar for “today is.”

Daphne came up and put Monday on our calendar for “yesterday was.”

Caroline came up and put Wednesday on our calendar for “tomorrow will be.”

Henry came up and counted to 6 on our calendar. He put 6 on our calendar to represent that today is Tuesday, June 6th, 2023.

Meena is our friend counter this week, and she counted 17 friends at our morning meeting today.  We have all of our friends in class today for our last full day!
